| One day Cinthianne told me she wanted to write the letter h out of the blue, I went to get a chart to show herwhat it looked like, and when I came back, she had already written it, wit hout looking at anything that had the letter h. |
Cinthianne is a bright girl and many parents would blindly dump her in the school system. But Cinthianne knows what school is, and has no desire to attend. She also has no desire to do school work at home unless it is something she herself thought up, or if Nito does work, she gets jealous and wants to participate. But Cinthianne has only just turned four and can write and recognize any upper case or lower case letter despite not having the so-called instruction. She speaks two languages and can recognize lots of numbers especially numbers 1 through 10. Cinthianne behaves far better now with other children because I don't try to force her to socialize. She also has the time at home to develop her own passions and interests, which has helped her socialize with others who have common interests.
One day she was being a bit mean to her brother, so I told her to give him a kiss. Nito heard the word kiss and kissed her. She told me she could not kiss him because she was eating blueberries. I told her to eat her blueberries and let her be. About five to ten minutes later Cinthianne told me she wanted to kiss Nito and she did.

| Cinthianne playing with her cousin. She does just fine in social situations despite not being forced to socialize against her will. The key here is that children, like adults, clique with children of common interests. |
